Maldives Airports Company Web | Pixelated ?? :S

Friday, February 15, 2008

With quite almost nothing on mind along with the fact that I needed to check on the flight schedule was the reason which led me to Maldives Airports Company Limited’s website (http://www.airports.com.mv). The website was quite simple and written in plain HTML supported by tabled layout together with a bit of ASP aiding some dynamic functionality of outputting the flight schedules so and so forth.

Anyway as this was the first time that I was visiting their site, within minutes I was navigating from one link to the other exploring it. And there it was. It took me sometime to realize that I was looking into the final output of the page. A highly magnified image though pixelated of an employment advertisement was what hit me point blank with a “DUUUUH!”

So apart from me commenting on the need for an establishment a suitable CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (CMS) or the use of a PDF’s or better images in publishing certain materials of necessity I will leave the rest of the commenting to you all reading this post.

the unappreciative lot of “rockstorm” on mvblogosphere

Saturday, February 9, 2008

It has been quite sometime since I have been popping in and out of mvblogs and every the other time since rockstorm there is a post or two about it.. highly unappreciative ones of cos.. so i thought of tapping in a few words of my own..

To start with there have been articles about the genre of the show… which ends up been rock…. I mean guys do a rain check perhaps over wiki n search up the term rock… there is absolutely no hard and fast rule that says it should be U2 or the stuff played by Coldplay… and throughout the show I never heard a DEATH METAL song been performed.. now how absurd is that… n of cos the reasons why they pick up the songs of metallica, megadeth, testament or even pentera is cos the majority of people attending would go DUH!!! N dumbstruck… im quite sure a lot of you reading this post haven’t heard of malmtsteen… who’s cover was performed by 7th Kingdom (the Malaysian band)… point is a good show is not only put up with the effort of the backstage crew neither the performers but with a crowd who appreciates what is been performed… sorry to mention this but only those few covers are known to us Maldivians… the majority is pretty new to all this and it comes with good reasons which I do not wish to highlight in this post of mine…

Then there come the disregard for the “CHICKS” who were there… everyone got a mind of their own or life for instance and with respect to that I guess it’s their own free will to dress up… and the fact is there were more guys present than the chicks..

All in all… though the sounds were quite out of order and a foreign band who put on a rock show (live) like no other ever performed on Maldivian soil along with a shocking modeling event was barged into a rock concert… they have put an effort and that effort is something a lot of us need to realize and appreciate..

a little sumthing from rockstorm

attn: INFORMATION MNISTER | the need for a maldivian history web

Sunday, January 6, 2008

I dunno y in the world im writing this post... but i guess its the urge to express my taught s is what is driving me to do so...

Just a few merry seconds ago... i was so really bored.. so bored of even moving one of my own limbs.. thinking about how it would have been 50 - 60 years ago... many of u reading this post may think.. DUH!! it would be awfully boring and non-techy...

But for people who take the pride and pleasure of experiencing varieties of life ... it sure would have been a wonderful adventure... and the fact here is... there is absolutely no going back in time...

what im trying to say is... in this hi-tech age why the heck aren't there any webs on history of Maldives ever built... ???? *sigh*

"Amilla Raageh" OR IS IT?

Saturday, January 5, 2008

It was one of the usual nights where I was hopping off from one coffee to the other meeting up with friends and all... & it so happened to be the same night where the "SPEED" concert hosted by dhiraagu was in play at the carnival.

So I taught what the heck... this may be quite something to kill the time... so I budged in to hear TRIO performing... they did a couple of their most common songs... & this next song kinda swept me off my feet.. & I didn’t believe what I was hearing...

At first what I was hearing was "HELLS KITCHEN" by DREAM THEATRE and all of a sudden it kinda improvised with a couple of solos... Thus RAARUKUGA an "AMILLA RAAGU" by them was what i was hearing...

Point is… they r good... but in the sense of making a masterpiece of their own... they don’t earn much a credit there...

mvblogs dying away with political bull???

Thursday, November 8, 2007

Though I have started blogging just yesterday, I have always been a usual reader of the mvblogosphere.. Going through the tech talk.. (most of which are copy pasted along with truly appreciative genuine ones) to poems which I find rather amusing that vary in personality and character (though some are duplicated), to the simplest narration of a girly shopping trip... I have been reading them... an mvblogs stalker you could say..

Sometimes I wonder why? But I guess without one scroll through mvblogs wouldn't just make my day.

Getting to my point, I'm not a supporter of politics not that I do not support change. But of course of the way it is been practiced. And lately blogosphere has been immensely piled up with the cock and bull of the so called "POLITICS"...

What happened to the escape from reality.. away from politics.. and away from the burdens of life.. the joyous kodak moments are fading... or are they still there?? is the question that i ask myself today...
